Lobster is definitely one of my favorite foods and you can't go wrong with a simple, yet delicious lobster roll! Our newest recipe is inspired by the lobster roll from the Millie's food truck located in Nantucket, MA.
Ground black pepper
3 1/2 pound cooked lobster meat
1 celery stalk, finely chopped
2 tbsp lemon juice
2 tbsp mayonnaise
1 tbsp chopped chives
2 tbsp room temperature, unsalted butter
6 New-England style hot dog buns (normal rolls or buns work too)
Making the Rolls:
1. Cut lobster meat into 1/2 inch pieces.
2. In a medium bowl, mix lobster, chives, celery, lemon juice, and 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
3. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Spread butter on the buns and then cook until a nice golden brown (about 2-3 minutes on each side).
4. Fill buns with the lobster mixture. Make sure to really pack it in! Then enjoy!
